What's the coldest temperature you ever rode your bike in? I rode into work a few years ago and the Guarantee Bank clock showed -9 degrees. I stopped off for a cup of joe at Jumpin' Java and the ladies couldn't believe I was riding out in weather like that. They set me up with a cup on the house... Well, today I have to rescind my cold weather crown to someone new. I am no longer the 'king of kold'... I'm not the only cyclist in my house. My wife rides quite a bit as well. She has been commuting to work on her Gary Fisher Wingra for almost a year and a half, rain or shine. And today I'm adding freakin' cold to that list too. She bundled up this morning, snowboard goggles and all, and jumped on the saddle to ride to work. The Guarantee Bank clock showed -13 on my way in to the shop, she'd ridden into the office three hours earlier. So, it is in awe and admiration that I pass my crown onto someone new... my wife Ori, the new 'queen of qold', you rule the day.

Gotta wear goggles... keeps those contacts in the eyes. Too damn cold for me, I've gone soft.
